I’m writing that title with Clarkson’s voice in my head. It must be read that way.

One of the projects I’ve been playing around with (mostly via Claude) has reached the rare point where a hobby project actually became useful to me. On the off chance anyone finds the idea of this app interesting…

Meet Articyl!

My daily workflow

  • Throughout the day when I come across articles I want to read, I drop the links into Articyl.
  • Articyl strips the HTML into a readable format with nothing but the content and relevant images.
  • Once a day it automatically groups the unread articles, bundles them into a single EPUB, and sends it to my Kindle.
  • Each morning I wake up to a little personal “zine” of unread articles waiting on my Kindle.

Other things it does

  • PWA supporting desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • RSS feed subscriptions for automatic article imports
  • Download groups of articles in multiple formats for offline reading
  • Reading position syncs across devices
  • Highlighting and notes against articles
  • Tagging, stars, and collections to organise content
  • Rich search across your library

This will probably remain a hobby project, but since it’s cheap to run I’ll keep it online as long as someone is using it… even if that someone is just me.

Anyways… A picture is worth a thousand words right?
